DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION POLICY

At Ocean52, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse and equitable work environment for all our staff. We believe that diversity is a source of creativity and a key element in addressing business challenges properly, and that everyone who works for Ocean52 deserves fair and equal treatment.

To fulfill this commitment, we have established the following policies:

  1. Fair and Inclusive Hiring: We seek and select candidates based on their experience, skills, and qualifications, regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or other characteristics protected by law.

We value diversity of origin and believe that it is a source of enrichment for our company. We promote the hiring of people from different backgrounds, cultures and countries, and foster a work environment where diversity of opinions, experiences and perspectives is celebrated and respected.

During the selection process, diversity will be encouraged as follows:

  1. Publication of inclusive offers: 

We will make sure to use inclusive language that does not exclude any group of people. We will use inclusive pronouns and words (people instead of employee, etc.) and avoid stereotypes or prejudices. 

We will publish our offers on platforms that reach a massive and diverse audience.

  1. Promote diversity in the job offer: 

Inclusion of the Ocean52 statement with our commitment to diversity and workplace inclusion in the job posting.

  1. Job description and requirements clearly: 

We will describe the position and requirements clearly and objectively. Candidates will be evaluated based on their skills and experience, rather than non-job-related factors.

  1. Diverse hiring panel: 

At least two different people from the team (whenever possible of diverse origin, age, gender or background) will participate in the selection process to ensure diversity in the selection processes.

  1. Fair and impartial selection processes: 

It is important to ensure that selection processes are fair and impartial. This means that all applications should have equal opportunities to demonstrate their skills and competences, and that any bias or discrimination should be avoided.

  1. Evaluate selection criteria: 

We will evaluate the selection criteria we will use in the process to ensure that they are not biased or exclude any group of people. For example, if a college degree is required, we can assess whether this is a truly necessary requirement for the job. We will evaluate candidates based on their ability to carry out the functions defined in the jobs described in Ocean52 and in alignment with the company's values.

  1. Promoting gender equality

We promote gender equality in everything we do. This includes ensuring that all people receive equal pay for equal work, regardless of gender, and providing opportunities for development and promotion without gender discrimination.

We strive to ensure that all people, regardless of gender, feel included in our company. This includes promoting policies that encourage work-life balance, and removing any gender barriers to full and effective participation in the workplace. To this end, we have developed a policy for nursing mothers, as well as a flexible organization of the working day defined in the employee manual.

  1. Development and Training: 

We are committed to providing development and training opportunities to all Ocean52 personnel, regardless of background or experience. We encourage continuous training, learning and personal and professional development.

  1. Team Participation: 

We encourage the participation of the entire team in decision-making and contribution to the corporate culture. We value feedback and open and honest dialogue, and seek collaborative solutions to address any problem or challenge. 

  1. Culture of Inclusion: 

We strive to create a company culture that values diversity and inclusion. We promote mutual respect, empathy and tolerance, and seek to eradicate any form of discrimination, harassment or exclusion in the workplace. We have a welcome process for new additions to the team and a protocol for action against harassment.

We encourage collaboration and teamwork to promote inclusion.

We take responsibility for maintaining and improving our diversity, equity and inclusion policy, and for regularly monitoring and evaluating our progress. We promote transparency and accountability and are committed to complying with applicable diversity and non-discrimination laws and regulations.

  1. Salary Practices and Promotion Opportunities

We regularly assess wage practices to identify any inequality. If we find a disparity in the pay of two people performing the same function (same functions plus comparable geographical coverage and similar degree of responsibility; e.g. same number of dependants) we will take steps to remedy it and ensure that all people receive a fair wage for their work.

We will ensure that everyone who works at Ocean52 has equal opportunities for promotion, regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or other characteristics protected by law. Internal promotion should be based on skills, merit and experience.

  1. Diversity and inclusion training: 

We train Ocean52 staff on diversity and inclusion, as a fundamental basis for creating an inclusive environment. Training should cover topics such as eliminating unconscious bias, promoting diversity and inclusion, and the importance of mutual respect.

  1. Monitoring and evaluation: 

To identify possible areas for improvement and ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion objectives are being met, we will include DEI evaluation criteria in the job satisfaction survey and collect proposals from workers.

  1. Clear and open communication: 

Clear and open communication with the team is essential to promote inclusion in the company. This policy and the company's inclusion practices will be shared with the team.
