For some athletes, digging deep into mental and physical reserves is simply the price you pay for achieving excellence. But for extreme athlete Antonio de la Rosa, digging deeper to discover his true capacity for endurance is everything. Over the years Antonio has set multiple autonomous firsts and world records: solo-rowed across the Atlantic Ocean, completed the Alaskan Idatorod on skis, paddle boarded through the Arctic circle, and paddle surfed a 3600km route around the Iberian peninsula. For us, Antonio is living proof that when we believe in ourselves, anything is possible.
In 2019 Antonio Became the first person to cross the Pacific ocean alone on his stand up paddle boat. In 76 days, 5 hours and 22 minutes, from San Fransisco to the island of Oahu in Hawaii, with a total of 4750km in complete self-sufficiency and without any external support. Needless to say that we are very proud to have this modern day hero in the ocean52 family!!
